Q. What do you do with leftover materials?

A. Johnson's Home Renovation aims to not have that many materials leftover, however any materials that we have PURCHASED for you and you have paid us for become property of Johnson's Home Renovation, Inc. at the end of the job. If you have PURCHASED the materials then they stay with you.

Q. What charges may I see on my bill?

A. Johnson's Home Renovation, charges for shop fees ( Items we have previously purchased to stock the trucks and used on your jobs or others ), Credit card fees ( If you use a credit card to pay ), Estimate fee if we are there for more than an hour, Dumping fee for trash removal and Fuel surcharges ( For pickup of materials )...

Q. How do you track my ongoing bill?

A. We send you daily or weekly reports by email. (PDF Files)

Q. What if I cancel part or all of the work before it is finished?

A. Johnson's Home Renovation will work with you to stay on budget for the project, However we know sometimes things happen. In that case you will be responsible for materials not paid for as of date, labor charges to date and a early cancellation fee may apply (up to 50% )... Also any or all labor credit will not be applied...

USEFUL TIPS



Apply soap or wax on screws for easier screwing.

If a screw is loose, stick a wooden kitchen match or tooth pick in the hole and break it off, then put the screw back in.

If you have a problem with dampness in closets, fill a coffee can with charcoal briquettes. Place container on floor, punch holes in the cover. For larger closets use 2 or 3 one-pound cans. Chalk will also help cut down on dampness. Tie 12 pieces together and hang in closet.

Fill an old nylon stocking with cedar chips for a sweet-smelling closet. This also will serve as a moth repellant.

If you've lost the back of your earring or other small object in your carpet, run a coat hanger over carpet. Most small objects will be tossed in the air.

Baby wipes are miracle-workers on carpet stains, from motor oil to blood, they remove almost anything!

To remove rust from chrome, wipe it with aluminum foil dipped in CokeŽ. To polish chrome, use a crumbled up piece of aluminum foil and rub.
